When I started Sunrise Sand, I had the idea that I wanted to make some t-shirts with optimistic messages, in figure-flattering styles. The sort of thing you can just throw on and feel confident in. But as I started researching the clothing industry, I realised that the brand had to stand for so much more.
I was shocked to hear about the amount of waste, with tonnes of clothing reaching landfill each year. I was also horrified to learn about the plastics and toxic chemicals used in synthetic fibre. This is why Sunrise Sand produces t-shirts in small batches. We partner with other like-minded businesses to make sure everything is created using sustainable materials and processes. Our t-shirts are high quality with classic designs you'll love wearing year after year.Â
Fast fashion is cheap for a reason, with the workers making this clothing suffering dangerous conditions and paid so poorly they can scarcely provide for their families. Sunrise Sand only supports companies that set and monitor high ethical and social standards, ensuring workers have safe conditions and fair wages. Our t-shirts are designed to be uplifting and easy to wear.Â
Creativity and fun is at the very core of Sunrise Sand. All of the t-shirts are designed by humans and most of them feature my own photos. These are unique designs you won't see anywhere else.
